Chairman
Frederic Jouhet
Frederic Jouhet is a French-born entrepreneur and the sole owner of Avantius Group, an investment holding company for MacuHealth, a leader in supplementation for age-related macular degeneration and visual performance, Memory Health, a science-based nootropic, and Natura Medica, with products such as Vitreous Health (a solution for eye floaters) and TG Omega-3 Fish Oil.
Before his time with Avantius and Highbury Partners, Frederic served as a financial advisor and manager for several Wall Street firms. A former law professor, he taught at several schools, including the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and the University of Michigan. He holds a Master's in Banking and Business Law from the Université d’Auvergne Ecole de Droit et de Sciences Politiques, France, and a Master in Laws (LL.M.) from The University of Michigan Law School. Frederic also served as an officer in the French Navy before immigrating to the United States.

Naguib Shahid
Naguib Shahid is an investment banker with over a quarter of a century of experience in the financial industry. Before founding Highbury Partners, Naguib founded the Investment Banking unit at CoreCap Investments.
At CoreCap, he focused on middle-market private company transactions, buy and sell side advisory, capital raise, corporate finance, private equity, and alternative financing solutions.
As a Resident Director for the Private Banking and Investment Group, Merrill's Wealth Management division. Naguib opened and led the division's eighth hub location in the country and managed all aspects of the business, including strategic and tactical initiatives, investment strategy, and advisor recruitment.

Jim Masciangelo
Jim has served as Vice President of Finance and Controller for various publicly traded and privately held companies specializing in the eye care industry, including Pilkington Barnes-Hind, Akorn, Inc. and Santen LLC. He has extensive experience in accounting, business systems, and GMP regulations pertaining to medical devices and pharmaceuticals. Jim did his post graduate studies in finance at Arizona State University, and earned his B.S. in Accountancy from the Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University.

Glenn E. Forbis
Glenn E. Forbis is a dynamic litigator and trial attorney. He has appeared as lead or co-lead trial attorney in more than 170 patent, trademark, and copyright cases in Federal Courts across the country, and has handled 15 Federal Circuit appeals.
Glenn’s clients have included emerging and middle market companies, as well as large, international corporations. He has successfully defended multiple patent infringement claims in excess of $75 million and, on the Plaintiff’s side, has twice achieved recoveries for his clients in excess of $30 million. On the trademark side, Glenn obtained several injunctions against infringers and successfully defended clients against claims that he infringed their mark.

Harvey P. Hanlen
Harvey P. Hanlen, OD, FAAO has been in private Optometric practice for over 40 years. He did his undergraduate work at the University of Maryland and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1974. He was the President of the Mid-Counties Optometric Society in 1978, served as the President of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association in 1982.
He served as the 78th President of the American Optometric Association, completing his term in June, 2000. He served on the Board of Trustees of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, now Salus University, for 6 years.
He is currently the Pennsylvania Vision Source Administrator and has been for almost 21 years.
